Growing vegetables is definitely a good thing. First it inspired me to
finally post something :)...Second, and here it is, vegetables interact with
their environment and are "generated" by internal and external constituents.
My area of interest right now is covering ways of generating 3D environments
fed by real-time data. Staring with a defined concept, I find it interesting
to let worlds generate themselves whith a minimum intervention from my part
after the process starts. Lots of sensors are out there, Teleo with Max/Msp
jitter might be a good example to cite. Parsing updatable data from the
internet is another way...choices are illimited, and just as we as living
organisms react to our environment, so could be the virtual environments I'm

As I said, I'm just initiating myself to these new ways of sensing data and
generating a "living" world, and I hope to hear some feedback on that

just to name a few projects that inspired me :

Toyo Ito's tower of winds, dECOi: Hyposurface(www.hyposurface.com) and a
good publication of works found in Peter Zellner's book: Hybrid Space

i/e motion form is my next installation dealing with these issues, and
hopefullly would be ready by the end of july.
