express my gratitude to Gary and Simon for the link to Levi Bryant’s article

and their discussion. I’m additionally glad to have the reference to the

magazine, especially as it also contains work on the Coronavirus per se. The

waving of the subject line of your original message seems to fit well in the ‘thrownness’

of the current situation, Simon. Bryant’s evocation of Heidegger’s ‘famous

hammer’ I interpreted more in terms of the toolness of the internet. In any

case I agree with the part of your assessment that the article brings ‘much to

commend … much to contend’. Its use of interconnected short sections is a boon
