yes - its an addiction and we should all go to treatment centers to stop
it..:)

copying used to be called appropriation.. ..i just noticed that its UNESCO
World Book and Copyright Day on 23 April, and when i was looking at thier
site saw book reading being promoted just like its an interactive
electronic medium.. "Reading means establishing an interactive dialogue with
the virtual universe created by the author of a text: a universe of
intellectual representations that differ according to the imagination of
each reader".
it seems the hype of digital media gets appropriated by traditional media ,
but the advantages dont translate back the other way..

there is a conference next week in chicago with an online forum called
version 2 http://www.versionfest.org talking about copyrtite issues -
"digital commons is a metaphor for the public space that we use
tocommunicate and distribute ideas, where we share tools and resources, and
influences. It is a place for commerce, art and the transmission of
knowledge. This commons requires a dialogue about intellectual property, the
balance between civil liberties and security, freedom of speech and privacy,
issues of access, and the creative use of tools."
which looks pretty interresting.
