RE: [-empyre-] Savage Nights

Well stated Mr. Dyens...

Did you watch the movie "Requiem for a Dream" ?

When I watched it first , I felt strange feelings because of the structure
and story of the movie.
Its a requiem , a mourning to death, losses.

And we see in the movie with 3 different life, the agony, the pain and the
loss. At the end , staring at my TV, I realized
that my life is not that bad.

Again, the director (you can remember him from his former movie " Pi" )
played with frames like a poet. Mixing poetry with
visual images, and distracting yet embracing sounds, he found the effect to
take the audience into the movie , into that requiem.
With fast changing frames, synchronisation with music and effects, the movie
itself a from of art.

One of my after thoughts is, trying to visualize ideas, emotions with only
static images is a real challange after all...You have put in
the motion, the sound, the shifting colors into one, static frame and you
have to give life to that visualization of your thoughts, feelings.
When you think about "Net" and its possibilities with art, the interaction,
the motion, the sound, I sometimes feel happy, because we
have a land of dreams with unlimited possibilities...Yet its our curse
because we have some many tools to use that can distract us from
ourselves , our real "emotion-reflection" tool : our mind.
