Hi,
I missed the last round of intros, so here I go:
I'm an Australian-Norwegian doing research on online narratives,
weblogs, games etc. Background in comp. lit. and hypertext theory.
This list seems like a great idea. I really like the idea of an
intense period with regular down times, Melinda. And the focus of
having invited guests. I was on holiday when the list started so I've
only been reading since the tail end of the last discussion. I'm
looking forward to following the next sessions.
Jill

Hi,
I am a Turkish designer/animator whose work in mainly about internet.
Background in comp. engineering and artifical intelligence.
Working as a Creative director daytime, at nights I work mostly on my
personal site, designing narrative graphics, fetching information
architecture, and
art.
Even I am a comp. engineer first, I like to work as a webdesigner maybe
because I feel myself mostly like an addicted man to colors. I am trying to
develop myself in every aspect of design and this is the reason mostly I
joined empyre :) And I like to have more friend who I can learn from . :)

My name is Daniel. I have a day job as the administrative secretary for
the philosophy department of Saint Louis University, a relatively large
Jesuit university in the central United States. I am also an artist,
organizer, and activist in my spare time. I paint, have done
installations, and occasionally work on video or web projects. I am now
working with some local artists on organizing a large festival in late
August, or early September. If you are interested in contributing,
contact me. We have lots of space =). I am working on a bulletin
campaign right now with some classic progressive themes, but also a few
twists. "Books Not Bars" "Food Not Wars" "Bikes Not Cars" "Ars Ars
Ars" I am also a devoted husband to a wonderful ceramic artist, and an
avid Baha'i.
Best!

Hi,
I am Michael Arnold-Mages. I am a graduate student in Digital
Media at the University of Denver, USA. I have been lurking on
this list for a couple weeks, and have very much enjoyed the
discussions. Thanks to the founders for starting it, and thanks to
U. of New S. Wales for hosting it.
My interests lie primarily in music, Digital Art, telepresence and
shared spaces. I recently completed an audio installation
"Mutual Assured Deconstruction" as part of my Masters' work.
Michael
