[-empyre-] admin drone - format and march topic
Thanx for those introductions, and the format feedback Jill and Jordan..
I too like the waves of interactions, think that summing up is a good idea,
and will ponder on ways to impliment that - perphaps we will end up with
"guest editors" whos take care of topics for period of time :) more feedback
is welcome.
i have decided to try another format option - multiple guests :
-empyre- topic for March will center around 3d web art, focusing on the
Web3d2002 show http://www.web3dart.org/node.php3 curated by Kathy Rae
Huffman and Karel Dudesek, currently on show at the Web3d 2002 conference in
Tempe Arizona, and then moving to the New Media Center at the ICA, in London
in March and April.
Artists form the show whose participation is confirmed at the moment include
John Klima, Tamiko Thiel, Zvonimir Bakotin, Jaka Zeleznikar, Ricardo Barreto
and Melinda Rackham. Additional guests include Nick Polys from the Web3d
Conference and Consortium, and Mark Pesce, one of the co-inventors of VRML
and author of "The Playful World".
Discussion will start around 5 March and each guest will post on thier work
every few days, ie so each guest has a separate space to post. Hopefully
this won't be chaotic, and in the interrest of maintaining focused threads,
if you are responding to a post please hit "reply" rather than starting a
new thread with a new subject line, as it makes it much easier to follow for
others.
thanx
