this larger framework of live-visual performance exists, as demonstrated at
last year's electrofringe and at the upcoming video combustion
it's name is QUILT ..

not always pretty, not always supporting the audio

art is good in moderation too ..
taste the thousands of flavours of recombinant pop: mutant, unwashed MP3s ..

thinking of VOGs, the technical introduction of MPG-recording digital still
cameras makes the capture of such everyday video content immediate - a video
polaroid

contexts: seeing a performer blowing s/h/it's live breath through an
instrument makes for a compelling experience - this breaks down barriers to
perception / appreciation (or creates them?)

the physical act of using OBJECT / INSTRUMENT to make NOISE / MUSIC in front
of PEOPLE / AUDIENCE is intensely important - human sees human, a connection
is made .. worth thinking of in relation to live electronic performance
modes (it's inherently un-athletic / un-rock nature)

is the arrival of the 80s keyboard-guitar back into *cool* just a
contemporary subconscious yearning for a larger physical presence of
electronic performers ?

it's past midnight, and my brush-strokes are broad - goodnight !
