I was thinking more of extending the metaphor of immersion--immersion as a
physicality that envelops you, and has affect on every part of your being.
When immersed, Water gets in your ears, in your eyes when you open them, can
be felt upon the skin--even through clothing. When people talk of an
immersive experience, water is where I go--metaphorically speaking, but I
guess whatever gets you...
