After recently travelling to the UK and Canada and having been to the US in the past I am always quite struck with how ?white? Australia is. Having said this a number of Black people I have talked to in the UK and US have remarked on how incredibly racist Australia is. It is certainly no news to me but I find many students deny this passionately and are highly offended at such a suggestion......Perhaps there is just very little resistance or pressure with such a minority of Black people is Australia?
