Could you say more about RFL? I remember it well - did anyone work on a
decoder that would produce code at the other end?

Re: Codecs, the proprietary aspect is horrific; on the other hand, one
might argue that everything is protocol, encoded; it's the nature of the
world, or certainly of representation which is always mediated.
Are you continuing any projects along the line of RFL?
