NOTES ON A LITERAL TRANSLATION OF "DZG"
======================================
First it's untranslateble. I'll try to explain WHY, although my English is
not much beter than aLe's. It's just in order to help a casual poetic
translation, or even to understand WHAT it means.
THE TITLE
DZG = "deseje" = "you must wish" -
"deseje" = you must wish; "desejo" = desire -
We don't spell "DSR" like "desire", but we spell "DZG" just as "deseje" -
If aLe had used "DSJ" instead of "DZG", it would be spelled "de-esse-jota" -
THE LINES
O Q TC A TIA V E AG - "o que tece a teia ve e age" - "the one who weaves the
web he sees and he acts"
A AV V O Q DV OG - "a ave ve o que deve hoje" - "the bird sees what it must,
today"
V A TZ E MD O Q KB - "vê a tese e mede o que cabe" - "looks at the thesis
and measures what fits it"
ACIT
ACIT Q EU T BIG
C EU T BIGI - C EU T
BIGI - aceite aceite que eu te beije se eu te beijei se eu te beijei" -
"accept it accept that I kiss you if I kissed you if I kissed you"
C ACDC M DC L - "se acedesse e me desse ele" - "if (she) acced and give it
to me"
AQC M CD M BB - "aquece e me cede e me bebe" - "warm me and give it to me
and drink me"
DIT-C M DIT - "deite-se e me deite" - "lay down and lay me down"
M BIG - "e me beije" - "and kiss me"
M BIG - "e me beije" - "and kiss me"
M BIG - "e me beije" - "and kiss me"
AT Q S
C DZG
CC - "até que esse 'se deseje' cesse" - something like "until this desire
stops"
That's it... more or less. I'll not entreprise anymore, or else I'll just
kill the poem. ;-)
