Third View: The Conclusion

When Ale reveals that the work is incomplete, and that it is missing a mice
coral intoning Mozart's Magic Flute, he gives us a great hint. So that we
can rediscover your thought  while creating that work. However, even though
he did not give it, this hint still would be present in the title of the
work and in the flute  which introduces us into the action.

Ale lives in Blumenau, a beautiful city of Brazil southern / German
colonization. He told us that he is descending of German and Italian. And
that he was born ten years after the end of the Second World War, so that he
was born around 1955. Here they are all the keys. So that we can decipher
the code of "The Magic Rat".

1- Having Italian and German origin his involvement with operas is obvious.

2- There is a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm - the Piper of  Hamelin
(German city), which does the connection between flute and mice. In this
history, the city of  Hamelin is liberated of a mice plague for a piper  who
gets that the mice accompany the sound of  your flute and drown into a
river.

3- Tom & Jerry were created in 1940 by the couple William Hanna and Joseph
Barbera. To someone who was born in the middle of decade of 50, these two
characters should have been constant presence in the matinees movies that he
watched.

4- Among others, their current interests are Internet and computers, where
with a click of the mouse one can crosses borders and spaces.

Curious like the exotic thought from other starts to being revealed by his
roots and by his space / time. My impossibility of thinking that is
extremely comprehensible. To create works like Ale,  I would have to have
lived his life... So that, Art is life and in this sense it is impossible to
say if this kind of expression is worth or not. We are all worth and for me
it is just the difference among artists and his/her creations that make Art
so fascinating.

However, to understand better "The Magic Rat" should look more closely
"Magic Flute". According to historian Luiz Roberto Lopez, history Teacher of
the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), the conclusion of the
Magic Flute regarding the difference between the Queen of Night and Sarastro
showed Mozart's Intentions in exhilarate the triumph of the fraternity and
the light against intolerance and darkness - this is, more or less, the main
idea. The historian also observes that the eastern varnish of the intrigue
was one of the references to that would be the main element in the book of
the opera: the composer's link with Masonry.

Internet, always intended to exhilarate the triumph of the fraternity, the
borders absence... Virtual communities (perhaps new Masonries) appear while
clicking the mouses in different longitudes and latitudes. The magic mouse.

And the cat? Well, the cat is outside of the scene. Tom & Jerry  were made
to be  at the same scene, one persecuting another. And all of us know that
Jerry is not ingenuous. I see the cat which increases and decreases,
changing the color... However it does not intervene in the action. Is the
Big Brother Tom impeded of watch the "herd" of Jerrys which  communicates
through the Internet? I am not sure if it is true, but I think that Ale is
saying just this.

The items of the menu: the line, the pointers of the mouse, the ABC,  the
sphere / globalization and the mouses itselves are all references to the
Internet and communication via computer. There is a fine humour with the
black rats (mouses) which appears and  increases of  number. All the work
has a fine humour. It is very interesting the way Ale tells serious things
which much humour. To interact with his works is pure fun.

And the cheese? Why will the secret be in it? Rats, mice & CO loves cheese.
We all love Computers. Are we the "rats" and the cheese will be our
Computers? Why Ale called the work "The Magic Rat" and not "The magic
mouse"? ... And what about the Internet? For me  Internet is what happen on
the small table.
