Dear Regina

thank you for the definitions.

Sorry, I didn't get whom you are quoting, could you please let me know?
Thanks.

Dear Millie,

I am very glad to have you in this forum! ;-)

> About artist's books:

Artist's books are like paintings or sculptures: they are unique pieces.
Some of them are not made in computers. In fact they were already made
before of computers exist. You can build an artist's book with all kind of
material. Some of them have not any text.

However I think that you can print several copies of a book using computer
and printer, but I am not sure if it will be an artist's book, it depends on
the the kind of book you are printing. If you write a story and print it and
make with it a book similar to any other book, it will not be an artist's
book.

Below two definitions of artist's book

"A artist's book is constituted from the dilution of the limits between
Literature and Art. Or better than this , is the foundation of an empty
territory established by each one of these forms of expression."

"The importance of the artist's book, is just that in it, words, images and
signs transform themselves in plastic organisms that are moved along the
pages in a variable, kinetic sequence, where the innovation, not only in the
form but also in the content is a result of the evolution ( starting from
Mallarmé until today) which have had that kind of expression, defying the
reader for a new look and a new relation with the printed page."

I hope I have clarifyed you.

Warmest regards,

Regina
