[-empyre-] Seven Demons Got Out
Seven Demons Got Out
http://www.arteonline.arq.br/pecadoscapitais/
It is a collaborative work with my dear dearest friends Marcelo Frazão and
Paulo Villela, both Brazilian. We live in Rio de Janeiro and get together
very often. Marcelo and Paulo prefere much more Fine Arts than Web /
Net.Art. Paulo says that we are "The Wonderful Trio Regina", because of
an old propaganda of soap, talcum and perfume and because it is me who
brought them to Web/Net.Art. Paulo is the oldest of us. He has a very fine
sense of humor. You will discover it in his work. He is fun, pure fun.
Marcelo is the youngest of us. He has a fine sense of humor too, but his
works do not show this. He has also a widespread curriculum as artist and
curator. He lives in an ancient two stairs house/ atelier downtown: the
Villa Olívia, there we have our meetings and take the first decisions about
our works together. If you want to know Paulo and Marcelo you can meet them
in the restaurant of the Museum of the Essential and Beyond That
(http://arteonline.arq.br/restaurant/ ).
We did "Seven Demons Got Out" together, it was a collaborative work, but the
first conception was by Marcelo Frazão. In this work the seven deadly sins
are seen under an erotic point of view.
"Frazão's sins" are greed, lust and wrath, "Villela's sins" are pride and
envy, "my sins are": Gluttony and Sloth. ;-). You will realize that there is
not an uniformity of languages in our sins, we think it is good to show the
differences among us. So that you will see that the sins of Frazão are very
conceptual and intelligent, the lust is my favorite of his sins. The sins of
Villela reveal his amazing sense of humor and deep intelligence. My sins
reveal that I am a woman he he he, I tryed to be conceptual and to show
beauty, If I got it you will judge.
I consider this work of our group excellent and we have already deserved a
paragraph in a review in the Spanish newspaper El Pais, the interesting is
that we did not ask for it. The Museum of the Essential and Beyond That is
just co-publishing this article now :
El net.art da una nueva lectura de
la espiritualidad en la era digital
Bendiciones, confesiones personalizadas y recorridos virtuales por los
caminos del pecado para empezar el nuevo año
