i would have thought sedition, homeland security, all stem from the same
thing, george bush's 'if you are not with us you are against us'.

shouldn't we be worried about that kind of attitude in whichever country it
exists, especially in art, where traditionally art has been a vehicle for
discontent. the issue is not a national issue but one of individual rights.
