Just a teaser here, but look for a new download of software that
Ricardo and I, (and a number of research assistants including Micha
Cardenas) have been working to evolve at UCSD... this new code should
allow some devices to be used in ways they were not intended to be
used, and possibly by people and communities who were never intended
to use such devices in useful ways. It is hoped that it will catalyze
flows... though (and perhaps more teaserly) as I always say it is
easy to write software and harder to write software that meets the
particular needs of a community. Which is why we are focusing both on
a particular problem, and on open sourcing the various reusable bits
of code just in case anyone else sees some use in it. More in weeks
or months to follow...
