btw, it was very pleasurable for me to watch, in comparison with my first
viewing of Abramovic and Ulay
i'm interested in how you relate this to Ulay and Orlan - whose work seems
to me far more embedded in art practice, body art, than, as i understand it,
Stelarc's - does this have any relation to relational aesthetics for you (I
don't see any), or is it, as you say, about relationality per se?
not sure what you mean by love as an affect that "breaks
down" a certain understanding of the subject...
i think of it as a staging of the defense against the imposition of sexual
difference. it's brilliant the way your work mitigates against the idea of
"well, how long can i, they, keep it up" and lifts up all boats so to speak
in a way that perhaps A&U and Orlan we less interested in questioning, at
least, not so directly - works against the ideologization of Freud in the
70s (vis. both polymorphous perversity and beyond the pleasure principle)
by the way, between you and me, those alien abducters have nothing on me
