Just to let everyone know that I am moderating the list from Australia where the time zone is 14 hours ahead. So, this means that sometimes I am actually behind what is going on, on the list! That is, I am asleep!!
Eduardo jumped in before I had  a chance to introduce him. Of course many of you know him but for those who don't:

Eduardo Navas researches the crossover of art, culture, and media. His production includes art & media projects, critical texts, and curatorial projects. He has presented and lectured about his work and research in various places throughout the Americas and Europe.

Navas collaborates with artists and institutions in various countries to organize events and develop new forms of publication. He has taught art and media theory at various colleges and universities in the United States, including Otis College of Art And Design and San Diego State University in California, as well as Pennsylvania State University in Pennsylvania. Navas is a Ph.D. Candidate (ABD) in the Department of Art and Media History, Theory and Criticism at the University of California in San Diego. He currently researches the history of Remix to develop a theory and better understand the principles of remix culture. To learn more about his research, please visit Remix Theory
