The wiki archiving of previous revisions is part of the linking  
structure of new media, That linking is also the structure of the  
internet and it is the structure of hypertext and hypermedia. Links  
of course create networks.  So then the underlying basis of computer  
networked art is the relationship of the links and how the networks  
form or rather what forms any series of links takes.  The problem is  
that there is a breakdown of the idea of truth because there are  
multiple overlapping networks that all have a point of view base on  
the aggregate. This reminds of one of quantum analysis in that  
observing any particle changes the state of the particle by it's  
being observed. It goes back to an earlier discussion about the  
writers of New Media histories.  They are also drawing information  
from their networks and their linkages. The big question is whether  
there is any universal truths we can all agree on that constitute New  
Media, the Networked Logos and 21st century digital creativity. Does  
a rhizomatic democracy create a universal truth?  Does revealing the  
layers of thought in a wiki produce a sense of analytical truth?
