Great post! As fascinating as the interventions at Venice Biennial that are being discussed here are, they seem to have a supplementary role to the biennial. They leave the main event intact while making apparent its lacks. This opens possibilities for the future, but what might those be? Should biennials continue to exist and become more media extensive and inclusive i.e., to represent “world citizens”? If not, are there other forms of exhibition more appropriate to the complexities of the present? Should biennials simply disappear?
