It's a sad state of affairs when all we are holding on to is 
remembering. Some sort of prematurely senescent gesture and belated lest 
we forget sentiment. I reject both state of affairs and sadness of 
Adorno's "promises not kept" - that is, the sigh at the impossibility of 
there being something there once finally the veil is lifted the veil we 
lift in spite of this melancholy philosophical knowledge. Reject also 
the commonplace of a poisonous shark-filled tank of art-headed 
capitalists. As if money were here some kind of pollution! How religious!

And, Cara, I must add, I did not intend either Deleuze's or Badiou's 
position to be taken as somehow exclusive.
