Well, let's be careful here.

-- Flash isn't dead, it's just turned into a raster rendering front-end for a variety of recalculated techniques. 

-- Vector (aka XY, aka random-scan) displays are CRT-like but not the same as the raster-scan displays of televisions.

-- The vector rendering of shapes in FutureSplash/Flash of the early web era was also raster-based from the screen's perspective; it was (and remains) a software method for turning vector shapes into bitmap patterns. Where as random-scan displays expose the phosphor-coated surface of the display directly to electric charges that describe such shapes.

All of which is just to say, I remain suspicious of talking about "screens" as a holistic concept even within the specific context of, say, 1975-1995 television and computer displays. We've got to look closely at the differences and similarities in material construction and operation of different equipment. Thus, even if laser TV does bear some resemblance to the raster-scan method on one register, the results of that rendering do not involve the same phosphorescent screen surface or aperture-grille focused electron. Actually the digital light processing (DLP) method is also similar in that way.

Put differently, we need to attend both to the screen-as-concept and the specific screens that actually exist in the material world, and the complex relations of influence among them.

The Kinect literally works like that, turning everything into a screen - not a screen for display but a screen of forensic analysis.

The airline online browser thing was doing some "screening" thing on me, that I detested rather thoroughly.
