Certainly, it's a question worth asking. But, then again, you wouldn't
expect social network services, fully owned by private companies, to
become viable tools for social action - and they have.

So, while we wait for Sweden to abolish its monarchy, eliminate
aesthetic hierarchies, and reform its educational system, maybe
something can be done in the meantime?

It's called hacking - creatively using or taking advantage of a tool,
context or environment in a way which it was not intentionally
designed for.

It happens all the time.
