Teddy, thank you for a great posting, sadly my own city, the city of
Montevideo, lacks the kind of insight the mayors you named had. The city is
in verge of becoming a chaos with gated communities and red zones, where
people has been living for several generations.
In despite of a Leftist administration the latest ten or twelve years the
urban planning is a disaster and nobody is seeing the city as an organic
being.
By the way, Al Jazeera published today a really interesting article written
by Michel Bauwens, the founder of the P2P foundation
