(this last one from Turkey makes an interesting reference to Zygmunt Bauman's writings on the political future of 'europe',
and the europeans' loss of the luxary not to learn from mistakes:: “Power is the ability to afford not to learn from mistakes,"
presumably this particular reference is made with the waning US empire in mind, and one only has to recall the last debate
between the election candidates for the casa bianca on global politics to feel rather worried about dawns, naturally, and dusks, 
and the birds that fly at dusk time.
