thanks Alan for posting Alona Kimhi's song. The differences between the 
two English translations interest me. Is there an Hebraist on the list 
who can say what "habit" (and "momentum" - progress?) implies in Hebrew? 
Because like the best work there is a strange ambivalence - uncanny - at 
the heart of the song. Humanity is nothing but habit and with no more 
than a slight push it is gone.
