LEANDRO DELGADO
I am a sci-fi writer. My second novel, “Ur (a biological melodrama)” is
being released this week. In brief, it tells the story of several genetic
manipulated characters in the context of extreme poverty and isolation.
I’m also a poet and I’ve been performing my texts in complete darkness in
the company of Leonardo Secco, musician and programmer. In these
performances, listeners are exposed to my voice (NO MIKE) and elaborated
sound information from computers without any kind of visual disturbance as
well as taking advantage of different kind of acoustics according to
different architectonical spaces.
I got my PhD in Spanish at Rutgers University (NJ) and I wrote my
dissertation on Literature and Anarchism in the Río de la Plata in the
beginning of 20th century. I’ve been writing on these topics as well as the
relationship between anarchism, literature and nature in the period. I have
a daughter, I have no pets, and I live in Montevideo, Uruguay. I am glad to
be a lurker of this wonderful community.
