hello Diana, good to have you join....

I wondered though what happens to flow when screened off (behind the glass, on other side)?
That was what I tried to ask John regarding his position on converting energy sources (attenuating some, amplifying others) -
watching a storm or the revolution (as the actor called Hamlet does in "Hamletmachine") behind bullet proof glass is not the same as
being in it (Hemingway, i read somewhere, did it the same way as the actor during the spanish civil war).

btw, i like Susan's echo on the body work here, i had been wondering over the weekend whether the work described there (as gestures) also always works in the other (inward) or, yes, both directions, i.e. the gesture is not expressed or felt outwarding, but coming in, having to deal, naturally, what i called my partly shambled system, my ageing body and its various particularities?

regards, Johannes

somatic materialism as being based on flow and as John says, not tied to a cosmic realm. Embodied sensory presence is key, I would go further to say embodied affective presence (playing on a distinction between the senses and affect). I have a feeling that what Sue discussed below regarding breath, pressure and resonance, working from internality radiating ourwards and letting external forces richochet inward has something to say to this project but am still thinking about it
