For Eric Schmidt, "the Internet is dead." This seems to be a typical
case of capitalist enterprise running ahead beyond the speed of ordinary
human beings. The difference today is that climate change makes us all
reevaluate everything. Not just the Internet, but everyone living and
especially the youngest (not to mention the birds and the bees) are
condemned by this relentless speed.
Over the last year, Rozalinda Borcila and I have tried to look into the
circulation of capital on our home grounds, in and around Chicago:

Over the past four years, with a veritable multitude of collaborators, I
have tried to tease out some of the histories of the great capitalist
crises:

All of this work rests on the foundations provided by my friends in the
Compass group:

Eric Schmidt considers all these things to be dead on arrival.
Apparently he doesn't care about his own life's work. Well, I just can't
accustom myself to zombiehood. Each of the three websites is a set of
incomplete clues to a social activity, a live one, with which you are
all welcome to engage, online or if you should come to our "fair" city.
best to everyone, Brian
