Thanks to Andrew, Selmin, Murat, and Ben for the informative
deconstruction of the presentation tools that so many of us use in
communicating information.

Andrew your amazingly comprehensive list of both proprietary
and open source programs was incredibly insightful. I thank you. I was
thrilled that both Audacity and
Handbrake were on your list. They are
favorites of mine. I also know several researchers who use zotero in
tracking
citations which is a favorite of so many.
Excellent post Andrew and thanks so much.

Ben and Murat your incredibly insightful comments to Selmin
were interesting to me. I teach video
editing and sound to fine arts, architecture, and engineering/computer
science
students who often times are more interested in the tools they are
learning than
the conceptual consequences that are reflective in their choices. Thanks
to all of you for your posts but
especially Selmin and Patrick for making the original post.
