Dear -empyre-:

I've been lurking on this list for years and just recently was part of the
discussion on locative media hosted by Patty Zimmerman and Dale Hudson.

I have been working with media artist Cary Peppermint for over a
decade--first on environmental works and now on the imagination of food (as
if the two can be separated). Our focus lately is on create participatory
situations and social sculptures that facilitate recovery from a cultural
memory disorder that we call “industrial amnesia.” We teach in upstate NY
at the University of Rochester, where it's even warmer today than when
Stephanie wrote a couple days ago from Buffalo. 58 degrees. In February.

Cary and I recently redesigned our website and added a lot of documentation
of the work we did will art-residents at Bemis and CLUI last year. I hope
you will check it out. I'd love to hear back from some of you. :)

Best,
Leila
