Of course you now remind my of Robert Ransick's Casa Segura, "an artwork that combines a small public access structure on private land in the Sonoran desert in Southern Arizona with a dynamic bilingual web space that facilitates creative exchange, dialogue, and understanding"

While not specifically about food, water and nutrition was also provided for Mexican migrants, traversing the dangerous deserts in Southern Arizona, north of the Mexican border. Much like Ricardo Dominguez's project, the aim of the project was to both provide a safe haven, resources, and a space for conversation and exchange.
So food does find its way into all manner of practical tactical media art projects!
