Hello Stirlingand Everyone,
I wanted to express agreement onwhat you
say about th complexity of borders. Your
closing sentence about being careful‘what
or who cannot be crossed’ bringshome a lot
of the difficulties involved innegotiating
borders peacefully. The wikipediaarticle on
stateless nations has a lot on thisand several
months ago I sent a link to the listwhich I’ll
add below on the question oflinguistic sus-
tainability in regard to thesequestions. The
changes brought about byglobalization and
demographics in general seem just nowto
increase the difficulties (Brexit, Catalonia,
Scotland, to name only three). So it seemsto
me the question of sustainability isimport-
ant. Thanks to all for thediscussion. Best
wishes, William (link >
