-empyre- soft-skinned space and the Tinker Factory, Cornell University collaborate with curator, Dr. Arshiya Lokhandwala and the Lakeeren Gallery, to host an online Zoom mini-conference, The Dawn of Aquarius: Art, Intuition and Technology.

The Covid pandemic has tested the technologies of health and safety. This has been simultaneously compounded by an environment of rising international tides of political and social unrest. Additionally, the precarity and health of our environment defined by changing temperatures driving natural disasters, food and water shortages, and economic fragility have influenced social and political spheres. In early 2021, an astrological change shifted the cycle of the stars based on the precession or tilt of the earth.

This movement from the Piscean Age to that of Aquarius invites heightened intuition, creativity, intelligence and a moment when we collectively as humanity care for our planet, its bio-diversity, ecology and all sentient life. Since the Age of Aquarius is about collective community and communication, we extend this invitation to join us as we respond to the world through cross-disciplinary perspectives. How can we as artists, academics, technologists, and theoreticians consider the zones between intuition, art and technology to consider the future.
