PAN PAZ imagine seems to me a terrific collaboration between you and
Clemente Padin, aLe; I find it interesting on many levels: the nature of the
political statement is serious yet it is not without a certain gentle but
telling humour--and also it is a compassionate work of art; the sound is a
well-balanced mixture of music and sound poetry; the Flash interface and
interactivity is engaging and a useful deconstruction of the 'movie' (you
can play three different 'preset' versions and/or compose interactively...);
and the visual imagery is both interesting in itself and in
motion/juxtaposition toward a message that requires little verbal language.
A very strong international work of net.art and an intriguing synthesis of
arts, media, and Flash programming.
Last month the topic was collaboration on -empyre-. I'm curious about the
collaborative process that occurred between you and Clemente in PAN PAZ
imagine. Could you describe how that collaboration proceeded? What do you
think made it so successful?
Also, I am curious about the reception this piece has received. Has it been
shown as widely as you might have wished? Where has it been received well
and where has it received little note?
This is one of my favourite Flash pieces on the Net.
