Femke, I agree that Google is far from accessible and aside from the
issue with alt tags for images, the way in which pages are ranked often
obscures web pages that are related because of the linking relationships
that are used...

I guess what I was trying to express here was the way in which gay and
lesbian communities have reclaimed negative names for themselves, is the
reference not appropriate?? I always thought that the notion of
'queering' language was a process that reclaimed power and that similar
processes have been utilised to negate sexist and racist
terminologies...
