Hi Timothy, Malcolm, and all.

Just thought given Timothy's feedback above that there may be Empyre
members who may not have been aware that we've released #PRISOM, our
synthetic-reality-game-that-isn't-strictly-a-game-but-more-of-a-social-commentary-trapped-in-game-mechanics
that was first shown via (and commissioned for) a Head-Mounted Display
setup during ISMAR2013?

A brief summary of the "game":
*
*
*"#PRISOM is designed to make players ponder the increasing global adoption
of PRISM <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PRISM_%28surveillance_program%29>-like
surveillance technology<http://www.theatlanticwire.com/politics/2013/08/nsa-better-data-collection-math/68490/>.
Every one of the “#WhatDoYouDo” scenarios that you’ll encounter when
playing the game stem from real-life scenarios, including the ongoing
unconstitutional treatment and [in some cases] incarceration of those keen
to expose the nature of heavily surveilled and overtly monitored societies
[think: Glenn Greenwald<http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/oct/10/cpi-report-press-freedoms-obama>,

and a multitude of others]**..."*

Our first review [which we're chuffed about] reads:
*
*
*"Thanks to #PRISOM, I am now successfully indoctrinated and prepared for
the total loss of my civil and personal rights and a life of continual
subservience. Seriously, this took a bit of navigation...but the payoff is
definitely worth it. The environment is easy to get into, especially with
the supporting audio, and once I got into the hang of what I was supposed
to do, and where to find the test stations, all went smoothly. I was
actually entranced by the whole experience, and felt that I just HAD to get
to the end. This is [a] most ambitious work...with a piece that delivers a
political message within the framework of a game that is actually no game
at all - it's the serious business of where do we all go from here. Nice
work. I hope this converts some minds. It should do."* - Alan Bigelow

If you're curious and want to know more, feel free to ask away. Otherwise
have a play here: http://prisom.me.

Best,
Mez Breeze
