Hello Empyre. Just acouple of quick comments. First, in self-correction (or addition) the quote Imentioned yesterday is from Griselda Pollock’s “The long journey: Maternaltrauma, tears and kisses in a work by Chantal Akerman” [in *Studies in theMaternal* 2 (1) 2010.] That’s searchable also. I just wanted to give propercredit. Second, in response to a short section of elizaBeth’s post, yes, definitely point takenwith regard to directionality. I think democratically one of the most importantaspects of university/universality is that there is and should be, must be, aflow in different directions. In the most basic sense, in two directions in thecontext of this thread, but obviously it goes beyond that. There is worth inregard to care, demographics, sociality both in and out of academe.
