Dear Christina and all,
I just read Tif''s last post which is inspiring me to print out the entire month’s discussion. I read things in drips and drops this month as I was moving in and out of China. I am looking forward to reading the flow from beginning to end. I want to thank you ever so much Christina for hosting and organizing this past month's discussion. You can do that by going to our permanent archive page
<http://lists.artdesign.unsw.edu.au/pipermail/empyre/>
And downloading the last entry in the row “Gripped Text.” Just a reminder that the archives on the Cornell hosted site only gives a small portion of the month’s posts.
Also thanks to our guests and subscribers who made the month an important one in -empyre soft-skin's archive. You all have reminded me how important and complicated the notion of feminist is but never-the-less may we all nurture some kind of Essential Departures experience as Tif so eloquently relayed in her final post. The farm is actually not all that far from where Tim and I live in Ithaca, NY.
On the note of nurturing, resting, rejuvenating -empyre soft-skinned space will take our August break and return on September 6th, Tuesday, after the US Labor Day weekend holiday.
Until then
Best to all of you.
Renate
